Demolition of the existing 2-4 Ferntree Place commenced in October 2020 being completed in November 2020 to make way for the flagship building now to be known as “2 Ferntree Place”

Melbourne District Demolition were appointed to undertake demolition of the site in preparation for appointed builder “Hansen Yuncken” to commence construction.

Some challenges experienced during the demolition period included;
- removal of substation and decommission of High Voltage power supply.
- management of hidden fire hydrant services.

Once challenges were overcome the removal of the building gained momentum and was completed rapidly, allowing progress to the next phase of site preparation.
